Trash Talk
As 2005 wound down, Sacramento thrashers, Trash Talk, clenched their fists and wound up. They've been swinging at the world ever since. Formed in the modern age of watered down more pop than punk, punk rock, these Californian heathens conjure memories of the genre's heyday, when audiences demanded aggressive music with a live show to match and bands delivered. Trash Talk delivers. With stage displays firmly rooted in chaos, an arsenal of releases to back it up, and fervent touring, Trash Talk has continually astonished loyal fans and newcomers alike. Pushing onward and upward since inception, Trash Talk has defined, refined, and re-defined themselves as the punk/hardcore juggernaut they have become. No strangers to reaching beyond the scope of their punk rock constituents while managing to also keep them in the loop, Trash Talk has continued to push the envelope for themselves in 2009, forging their way onto genre non-specific concert events like SXSW, Bamboozle Left, and Portland's Musicfest Northwest. 2009 has also seen Trash Talk broaden their platform from the stage to the page as they published their first book, a 120 page paperback titled Collective: Volume 1, released on their Trash Talk Collective imprint. More surprising than their short but rapid ascent, is the fact that their highest accolades have been attained without a record label.

Bandinfo
Within weeks of their formation, the Northern Californian quartet had
already cut a 7 song demo, and by the second month, had that demo
pressed in Europe and a tour under their belts. The following year, the
Trash Talk camp put two more records out on independent US labels, and
in 2007 recorded and released 11 blistering tracks that comprised
Walking Disease, a torrential downpour of chaos that's good to the last
drop, which falls at nine minutes and eleven seconds. 2008 was a busy
year for the boys as they toured relentlessly, playing more than 200
shows in the US and Canada in addition to recording both the six song
Plagues EP and the highly anticipated self-titled release. Trash
Talk was the first release on the band's do-it-yourself label and
employed the genius of legendary sound engineer, Steve Albini (Nirvana,
High on Fire, The Pixies).
In the summer of 2009 Trash Talk hit the studio with producer Manny Nieto (Mars Volta, 400 Blows, Ben Harper) and recorded a two-song single titled East of Eden, which sold out in its first week. East of Eden was the second release on Trash Talk Collective and enlisted the vocal talents of punk legend Keith Morris (Circle Jerks, Black Flag). Not fond of slowing down, Trash Talk stands five years after their creation with 7 international tours, 7 records, legions of loyal fans, and a plethora of US tours to their name... and they're not done yet. With a rapidly growing list of shows played in 2009 and 3 international tours planned, Trash Talk intends to continue taking the world by storm.
